BMW GAP financing protection covers you for a loss in bike value between the amount you still owe and the value of your bike. Say you owe $18,000 on your bike loan and your bike suffers a total loss in an accident. Perhaps the value your insurance company places on your bike is $15,000, leaving you owing $3,000. BMW FS Tire & Wheel Protection

BMW Sweeps Cycle World Touring Awards!

BMW has captured two major awards in the latest Cycle World announcement. The K 1600 GT has won the Best Sport Touring category and its stablemate, the K 1600 GTL, took home the Best Touring Bike prize.

About the GT, Cycle World wrote: "If you don’t have the money, consider selling a kidney."

The GTL inspired them to say, "...the six-cylinder Beemer puts the Wing on the trailer."

Also, Motorcyclist magazine proclaims the K 1600 GT as Best Touring Bike for 2011, saying, " ...unless somebody comes up with a better way to repeal some heavyweight physical laws -- gravity, for starters -- BMW's class-busting inline has what it takes to lock [Best Touring Bike] up for the next decade. Or two."
